Games you can play this week – slithering heroes and cartoon saviours

27 March 2017

March has been crazy. From Horizon: Zero Dawn to Mass Effect: Andromeda, we’ve been treated to some pretty massive-scale games this month, so it’s only fair that things slow down a little and the gaming release schedule eases up on our time (and wallets).

That’s not to say there aren’t some exciting games this week, but rather some smaller, more targeted releases worth checking out:

Snake Pass

28 March 2017 (PS4, Xbox One, PC, Switch)

Snake Pass is a 3D physics based collect-a-thon game where you take control of Noddle (the starring serpent) and have to use his unique snake-skills to overcome obstacles and complete objectives.

The world of Haven Tor is designed to test Noddle and there are plenty of areas to take advantage of the game’s “Snake physics”. Whether exploring the high mountain tops or briny depths of Haven Tor, there is always something worth finding.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix

28 March 2017 (PS4)

While the releases date for Kingdom Hearts III seems as elusive as ever, Square-Enix isn’t content to let the Kingdom Hearts franchise name go unmentioned.

Following the final prologue which released on PS4 last month, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix ties together a neat package combining six entries for the series on one disc.

The collection includes Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories, HD remastered cinematics for Kingdom Hearts 358/2, Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix, and HD cinematics from Kingdom Hearts RE:coded.
