Deus Ex: Human Revolution is will be making its belated launch in late August 2011, if all goes according to the current plan. The game will be digitally available via Steam as well as at retail. Deus Ex: Human Revolution will use Steamworks DRM and features; the Steamworks features include auto-updating, Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud support.
Eidos-Montreal states that they have “chosen this agreement with Steam because of its esteemed capability for an enhanced experience for the PC gamer, with boosted functionality and easy accessibility.”
The game will be available in two version via Steam – a standard version and the special Augmented Edition. The Augmented Edition boasts a 40-page digital art book, a “making of” special, trailers, animated storyboard of the CGI trailer, motion graphic novel, soundtrack, and a free download of the Deus Ex Game of the Year Edition.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution tells the story of Adam Jensen, a man cybernetically augmented against his will, who finds himself in the middle of a global conspiracy to which he holds the key. Deus Ex: Human Revolution is set in a near-future world where humanity is at a turning point.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is available for pre-order on Steam at discount pricing of 10% off the launch price. US$44.99 (±R300) for the standard version and US$53.99 (±R360) for the Augmented Edition.
