BT Games launches Birthday Sale on games and consoles

It’s BT Games’ birthday this month (it always seems to be one retailer’s birthday, doesn’t it?), and the local gaming specialist has a host of new specials for SA gamers to indulge in this weekend.

There’s everything from some deals on consoles to some large discounts on Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC games.

Peripherals such as headphones and controllers are also on special.

The specials are running from 30 March to 17 April 2017, although some items have some specific sale dates attached to them.

Check out some of the deals below and full list of specials here.

Look I’ll consider CoD:IW for PC if it was below R300 and it included the remastered COD MW as well.

  • Martin Sibara

    hahahahahah. epic bro.
Its not worth a penny more over. Im with you on that one.

    Im getting The Division today!!

  • Jose

Don’t bother with IW. If you like this genre of games you should invest in Titanfall 2

  • Imperius

Steam, Origin, GOG, Humble Bundle, G2a… once fibre kicks in good, byebye retailers

  • Martin Sibara

Fibre works well with online stores like steam or origin.
But you must have uncapped 10mb+ line. If i could have the same internet like at work. 100mb uncapped. I’d be so happy.

  • Flamevector

dont do it Neji dont do it you are holding out so well with the boybott of COD and besides we still need to finish BO3 🙂

  • Flamevector

only get the Division if you are jamming with somes mates otherwise you will be bored really quickly.

  • Neji

Cracker… Little Ren does not have any inets… so this could be a long wait…

  • Flamevector

i smell a lan happening soon one at one of our places when our fibre is up then we steamroll through the game i rate.

  • Neji

I call dibs for my place. I’ll get 100/100FTTH, none of your GFs know where I live and I have the pizza place on speed dial

  • Martin Sibara

I’ve heard people say that a lot and i kept that in mind.
I am prepared to play it solo if needs be but im positive i can find mates online. Theres a SA youtuber that plays the game. He said to hit him up when i get the game. I left the game updating patches
The one thing i was really happy is that i didn’t have to download the game to install it. It came with 5 discs and i was so happy about that.

No you don’t really need uncapped. I have VDSL 20mb Fat pipe 200GB line and i download 20GB within 4hrs or so. I stream my tv series and movies and watch sport and it’s enough Gigs a month to be honest.

  • Wulvz

Off to pick up Far Cry Primal along with For Honor

  • Wulvz

Im invited here. I just heard Pizza, but best to play BF1 with mates online in Squads. Best R1100 i spent

  • Neji

    New phone, who dis?!?!?!?

  • Jakes

Where do you stream sport? The links I use are terrible.

  • Wurnman

NTV. MX … few people ive heard complain it buffers. It will buffer anything below 8mb speed a lot. I have a 20mb line at home and i hardly get any buffering. Only HD channels might buffer now and again.
The positive is that it shows local sport, the content is WAY more than DSTV. For instance the MotoGp or North West 200 bike racing the content in between races are loads.
Been using it fro 3yrs now, very happy.

  • Jose

Invest your money in Titanfall 2 instead

`Sorry BT but Uncharted 4 is now on a special on PSN for appr. R309 until 06 April, so with my 5mbs uncapped internet, 48GB will take a solid 24 hourst to download, IF THE PSN SERVERS AIN’T ACTING UP I might add, but I’m on leave, so no hurry lolol!!!! COD IW for R700 new is a good price though, although one can find it 2nd hand on Gumtree for R450-R500.

  • Guest

Steam’s only relevant to pc not to consoles, am I right?

  • Guest

Wow, my 5mbs speed takes exactly 10hours for 20GB lol

  • Guest

Jakes I have the perfect sports streaming app for you. I got it from someone else about 2mths ago here on MBB. The app is called Mobdro and it’s an APK file you have to download. All Skysports channels are on the app and I’m watching all the sueprrugby and 6 nations etc on it and the streaming is very stable on my 5mbs speed. Its the best app ever and I couldn’t thank that guy enoug cause my preivous sport streams were not always that good at times. You also have all channnels like History, National Geographic, Discovery etc on the app including all Sky movie channels. Just a warning, there’s quite a lot of ads on there, which is the reason why we are getting it for free. Go check it out and let me know and if you perhaps need help with the APK file download, let me know I can help. My email is [email protected]

No my man, you’ll have to wait quite a while to get both IW and MW at that price to be honest, unless u buy it 2nd hand on Gumtree perhaps?

  • Guest

IW story line is awesome, especially the fights in space?

  • Guest

Played Divison’s Beta and it made up my mind that it’s not my kinda whiskey lol!!!!

  • Martin Sibara

Chilled bro, we all have our own taste in gaming.
Im enjoying the game so far. Though i leveled up very fast in the Dark Zone than on the normal missions.

  • Neji

Last time I checked there is no way to buy Steam games “2nd hand”.

  • Imperius

    what is a console?

  • Jose

As someone that owns both titles and wishes that I didn’t spend a cent on IW, my personal opinion is that the Titanfall 2 storyline is better.

  • Guest

Interesting, you’re making me look at Titanfall with new eyes now. Maybe I should consider it?

  • Guest

PS4, XBOX 1 are called consoles wtf lol????

  • Guest

Nope, I’m talking Gumtree, diisc copies. I personally prefer digital myself

  • Guest

I’m chillin bro, hence why I added the LOLs behind my posting lol

  • Jose

Read a few reviews, especially those that compare the two games, I think they’ll give you better guidance on your purchase. I think the game was going for a 50% discount recently, not sure if that’s still the case.

  • Neji

…and this is where I’ve determined that you didn’t read my original comment. CoD:IW for PC comes in two flavours; Steam and Windows Store. Sure you can buy the game on disc but the “CD-key” gets locked to either your Steam account of your Windows Store account. There is no “2nd hand” market when it comes to Steam games.

  • Guest

We know that, not even PSN or XB Gold makes provision for 2nd hand games on their networks as well

  • Guest

Even better, I’ll watch a couple of in game footage on YouTube just to get the feel of it

  • Imperius

    oh those slow things haha

  • Guest

True, in comparison a high end pc will always outperform consoles. The thing is not many South Africans can afford high end pcs like eg the Americans where it’s more affordable. I used to be a pc gamer but due to constant upgrading I opted back to consoles lol!!!!

  • For Only R99999.9998

I hate consoles just because of controllers… if consoles supported Mouse and Keyboard it actually would have had 90% more sales…

  • Guest

I switched from PS1 to PC at the time and found the mouse and keyboard ackward I remember. When I switched from pc back to console, the controller was initially a bit akward but I soon overcame it. Just got tired of upgrading all the time and as I said the cost, especially now that SA has been downgraded to junk status is going to make us gamers bleed, irrespective of pc or consoles!!!!

  • For Only R99999.9998

yeh… the anc will even find a way to make you pay to play a free game..

  • Guest

    Well said mate lol!!!!
