Destiny 2 will launch for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on 8 September 2017.
Gameplay for the new title is set to be shown off on 18 May.
Bungie and Activision stated that there will also be a beta of the game before its official launch, with early access available to those who preorder the new FPS.
The original Destiny was a massive hit with console gamers, and the sequel sees the game now available for PC owners – expanding its player base.
