StarCraft is now available for free on PC

Blizzard has made StarCraft and StarCraft: Brood War available for free download on PC and Mac.

The game has received various improvements and compatibility fixes, including windowed fullscreen and multiplayer support.

The real-time strategy game was released in 1998 and has since been succeeded by its sequel, StarCraft II.

Blizzard also recently announced it would release a remastered version of the original game this year.

Users can download StarCraft and StarCraft: Brood War from the StarCraft website.
