The creators of rAge have partnered with HP Omen to launch an annual eSports event called Rush.

The event will be hosted in Johannesburg and will focus on the local competitive gaming scene.

Rush will feature live competitive tournaments for games such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, and FIFA.

“Rush aims to provide a neutral and inclusive platform for all the local eSports organisations to host their respective events under one roof,” said Rush marketing manager Lauren Das Neve.

Visitors to the event will also be able to compete in open tournaments, watch live matches between the best teams in South Africa, and purchase hardware and merchandise in the retail section.

The NAG BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) LAN will also take place at Rush, and tickets for both the main event and LAN are now on sale from Computicket.

The ticket prices for Rush and the NAG LAN are:

  • Day Ticket: R50
  • Weekend Ticket: R100
  • NAG LAN Ticket: R600

Rush will be hosted at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg from 21-23 July 2017.
