AMD has launched its Enhanced Sync technology as part of its Crimson ReLive 17.7.2 driver update.

Enhanced Sync balances refresh rate and stutter problems by providing an unlocked frame rate and reducing tearing artifacts.

It also reduces latency and response time issues experienced when using technologies like VSync.

AMD tested its new technology on a Radeon RX 580 8GB running Overwatch and found that Enhanced Sync greatly reduced stutter and response time variance in comparison to regular VSync.

After updating their system with the newest Crimson drivers, AMD graphics card users can toggle Enhanced Sync in the Radeon Settings menu.
