The Witcher 2 patch 1.1 issues

27 May 2011

Responding to criticisms levelled at the latest patch for The Witcher 2, CDProjekt has confirmed that “The Downloadable content option in the Game Launcher does not work properly, please don’t use it.”

The good news is that the Troll DLC that many have been struggling to download is now included with the Patch, so you don’t need to access it as DLC.

The Language Packs are also still inaccessible, although this won’t be a problem for many South African gamers.

“Registration through the Launcher will be fixed in the upcoming days, and our goal is to have it work perfectly in patch 1.2. Sorry for the inconvenience, and please stay tuned,” reads the developer’s official statement.

Patch 1.1 was released last night, and on top of numerous fixes implemented, the game also completely removed the game’s DRM.

CDPrjekt also reminded fans that it has a conference scheduled next week Thursday, 2 June, in which exciting new announcements will be made.
