Best games you can play this week – Treasures and tyres

From big-name spin-offs to new sporting seasons, the gaming world has got it all covered this week. Here are our picks for the games releasing 21-25 August 2017.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy

23 August 2017 (PS4)

Following on from the stellar Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is essentially a standalone spin-off following the exploits of two tough female characters from the Uncharted universe, Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross.

The story follows the two as they set aside their differences to work together to obtain an ancient artefact.

Expect similar climbing, gunfights, emotional story beats, and high-octane action that the Uncharted franchise has become known for.

F1 2017

25 August 2017 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

Racing fans will be waiting in anticipation for F1 2017, which launches this week, and continues the long line of annual releases in Codemasters’ franchise.

The game will obviously follow the structure of the F1 new season, as is the case with every F1 game to date, but the new features include a 10-year long career mode that features a sort of RPG like “Research and Development” tree for upgrading your ride.

You’ll also get 20 different official circuits along with 4 bonus tracks by way of the Britain Short, Japan Short, USA Short, Bahrain Short, and Monaco at Night.
