Steam’s Next Fest starts today at 20:00 and will continue until Monday, 28 February.

Next Fest is a week-long celebration of upcoming indie games, and includes watching developer livestreams, developer Q&As, and playing as many demos as time allows.

Steam’s previous iteration of Next Fest took place from 1-7 October last year, and it offered players a chance to explore more than 700 titles.

Some of the most notable titles from last year’s Next Fest included:

  • Airport Renovator, a simulation game where you get an abandoned South American Airport back up and running.
  • Inscryption, the wildly popular card game (with 97% positive reviews), blends horror elements with escape-room-style puzzle gameplay.
  • Exo One, a Journey-like exploration game that you can relax into at the end of a long day to enjoy the beautiful visuals and soundtrack.
  • Motor Town: Behind the Wheel, a driving simulator with realistic physics and many vehicles to drive.

You can still download and play any of the demos of the games listed above to see what you can expect from this week’s event.

This Next Fest won’t be focused on providing discounts, so you’ll have to wait until 28 February for the next Steam sale if that’s what you’re looking for.

Until Elden Ring’s release on 25 February, we’ll have to be patient and keep ourselves entertained with some of the demos available during this week’s Next Fest.
