Valve has published its Steam 2021 review, which showed that the popular PC gaming platform had a bumper year.
During the last 12 months, Steam had an average of 132 million monthly and 69 million daily active players.
It also reached a staggering 27.4 concurrent players.
Additionally, the gaming platform reported 31.2 million buyers, 27% more spending, and 21% more playtime than 2020.

A massive 32.9 exabytes of data was delivered during 2021, which translates to 32.9 million terabytes of data.
Along with this Steam also saw 2.6 million digital gift cards being sent by users during 2021 and the total dollar value of the cards was a 43% increase from 2020.
Additionally, despite Valve not releasing any VR games in 2021 Steam still saw the VR user base grow by 11% with a 22% increase in unique play sessions.
Remote Play allows users to play games on their PC with other devices – this allows for local multiplayer with only one person needing to own the game.
Steam also unveiled the most popular graphics cards used by its users.
The winner was the GeForce GTX 1060, which was used by 8% of all users, while the GTX 1650 and GTX 1050 Ti followed closely behind with a 6% user share.
