CyberConnect2 revealed a remaster for its JoJo fighting game, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R, at the PlayStation State of Play 2022.
The game will be released later this year on Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam.
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R was first released as a PS3 exclusive back in 2014. This fighter game features a wide variety of champions that battle it out for victory.
The new release will come with improved graphics to match the anime series with was launched in 2012, and feature ten new characters in its champion selection.
CyberConnect2 has removed the game’s unpopular campaign mode, and instead features various single-player (All-star Battle mode, Arcade mode, and Practice mode) and multiplayer mode (Offline and Online Versus mode) modes.
According to the PlayStation blog, “you can play through over 100 battles with various settings and conditions,” and all the characters in All-Star Battle R will have new lines of dialogues with each other during battles and on the victory screen.
Other changes include increased game speed, more hitstops, and one-button specials – which make gameplay easier for inexperience players.
