Sons of the Forest, which is the sequel to popular survival game The Forest, has been delayed until October 2022.
The game’s developer, Endnight Games, made the announcement on Twitter and explained that the delay was due to the game’s initial May release date being “overly ambitious”.
Hey Everyone,
Over these past few weeks, we have realized that our May 2022 release date for Sons Of The Forest was overly ambitious. To be able to deliver our vision of the next step in survival games, we’ve decided to move our release date to October 2022

This announcement was accompanied by a short video of gameplay showing off the improved graphics and gameplay that players will enjoy in October when Sons of the Forest releases.
The game footage included the player character eating a fish in first-person, building a log cabin, and setting up an archery target.
Sons of the Forest will once again put players in a cruel sandbox world filled with monsters and crafting resources where they’ll have to struggle to survive.
