Gearbox has announced that Borderlands 3 is getting full cross-play in a tweet.
Cross-play is already available across Epic Games, Steam, and Xbox Series X and S. This update will add the PS4 and PS5 to this list.
The exact date of the feature has yet to be announced by Gearbox, but it has been stated to be coming later this year.

Cross-play has been present on Borderlands 3 for over a year; however, the feature was pulled from PlayStation consoles last May.
The feature was previously available to all platforms for over a year but was removed from PlayStation consoles in May 2021 due to certification issues.
Borderlands 3 was released in 2020 to a great reception and continues the adventures of the Vault Hunters.
This title took the series a step further by introducing multiple worlds for players to explore and loot.
Borderlands 3 has since received multiple DLC packs, which have expanded its content roster significantly.
