Intel is launching a new Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO) tournament called the Intel Africa Masters that will begin at the end of June 2022.
Six regional competitions will take place in different African countries in the coming months, South Africa included, and the winners of each tournament will reach the main event.
This main event will be held offline at a to be determined venue in South Africa, while the group stages will be held online in the six countries.
The top four teams in the final will battle for a share of an R450,000 prize pool with each team winning a different sum.
1st: R150,000
2nd: R120,000
3rd: R100,000
4th: R80,000
The tournament, which will be hosted and broadcast on Twitch, is accessible to all players – not just professionals.

Intel has made it clear that the primary goal of these tournaments is to promote relations between African gamers to raise their skill level until they can start competing on an international level.
