The top 10 revenue games last week for Steam — 27 June

The Steam data for the past week has been released, and SteamDB has updated its list of the top ten grossing games for this period.

This week’s top ten has several surprises, but the most noteworthy of the bunch is that for the first time since release, Elden Ring is no longer in the top ten.

The title is still among the top 25 global selling games, but its drop from the top ten indicates that Elden Ring hype is, at last, dying down for good.

However, that doesn’t mean a FromSoftware game isn’t in the top ten, and since the Summer Sale is now live, there are many new additions to the top ten.

10. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice – GOTY Edition

Elden Ring may have dropped out of the top ten, but that doesn’t mean FromSoftware has, as Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has secured the tenth spot.

It features unique, rhythm-parry-based gameplay with a degree of verticality and story that no other Soulsborne game has ever featured.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has risen to the top ten thanks to the Steam Summer Sale, as many Elden Ring players probably decided to try something new.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has a Very Positive user review score on Steam.

9. Rust

Rust is one of the most popular multiplayer survival games on Steam, and thanks to the Summer Sale it is 50% off.

The game’s goal is to survive and do whatever it takes to see it through each in-game day.

Despite being an eight-year-old game, the title has received over 300 content updates, ensuring it has continued to be an enjoyable experience.

Rust has a Mostly Positive recent and Very Positive overall user review on Steam.

8. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is the satirical DnD version of Borderlands 3 that was released in June this year and offers a new storyline, gameplay style and experience for fans of the series.

The game comes in two purchasable versions – the base game and the Chaotic Great Edition – and it is uncertain which of these versions this entry represents due to the way Steam records its data.

The Summer Sale has discounted both versions by 20%, which undoubtedly helped it make it into the top ten.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has a Mostly Positive user review score on Steam.

7. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is mere days away from release, so seeing it on this list is not surprising.

The G-Rank expansion is set to add a massive amount of content to the game – including many fan-favourite monsters that will appeal to veterans of the series.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is set to release on 29 June this week.

6. God of War

Often regarded as one of the best games on PlayStation, the PC port of God of War has also been very successful.

The hype surrounding its sequel has undoubtedly added to the appeal of the game, and with the Summer Sale, many who were considering buying the original have no doubt decided now was a good time.

God of War has an Overwhelmingly Positive user review score on Steam.

5. Monster Hunter Rise

With its expansion mere days away and thanks to the Summer Sale, Monster Hunter Rise has made it into the top ten.

No doubt this will continue while the sale lasts, as well as when the G-Rank Expansion – Sunbreak – is released.

Monster Hunter Rise has a Very Positive user review score on Steam.

4. Raft

ARaft is a unique game that allows players to build their very own raft as they struggle to survive being stranded in the middle of the ocean.

The creativity and challenge this presents have proven to be appealing to many, and with the Summer Sale discounting the game’s already low price, it is no surprise that it holds the fourth spot.

Raft has a Very Positive user review score on Steam.

3. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

The second appearance of the Borderlands 3 spin-off game holds the third position on this list.

As noted before, the game comes in two versions, so it’s uncertain which version this spot represents.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has a Mostly Positive user review score on Steam.

2. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade

The next part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy retains its second-place spot.

This has no doubt been helped by the game being discounted as part of the Summer Sale.

Final Fantasy 7 Intergrade has a Very Positive user review score on Steam.

1. Steam Deck

The Steam Deck retains its first-place spot as usual.

Valve’s portable gaming PC is clearly selling well.

The Steam Deck is currently unavailable in South Africa.
