Microsoft has sent an email to Xbox Games with Gold subscribers informing them that from 1 October 2022, it will stop offering Xbox 360 titles on the service.
In the email, Microsoft stated, “We have reached the limit of our ability to bring Xbox 360 games to the catalogue”.
While this is disappointing, subscribers who have already claimed Xbox 360 games, or who do so before 1 October, will be able to keep these games permanently – even if they cancel their subscription.
Notably, even if you cancel your subscription, your will still keep the 360 games you’ve downloaded to your account before 1 October.
Microsoft also assured subscribers that Games with Gold will continue offering new Xbox One titles and exclusive monthly savings.
Xbox 360 games available on the service have been free to keep even after ending a subscription; however, Xbox One games are only playable while you are subscribed.
