The expansion for the challenging Cuphead game, The Delicious Last Course, has gone platinum – selling over 1 million copies across all platforms.
The developer, Studio MDHR, revealed this milestone achievement in a post on their website while thanking fans for the overwhelmingly positive reception to the DLC.
The post also revealed that this impressive achievement was achieved just over a week after the DLC’s release on 30 June.
The Delicious Last Course continues the adventures of Cuphead and Mugman as they are joined by a new playable character, Ms Chalice, and explore the previously undiscovered Inkwell Isle.
The DLC not only introduces a new playable character with unique abilities and a modified moveset but also adds new weapons and charms to help beat new bosses and set new records for old bosses.
In The Delicious Last Course, players will assist Chef Saltbaker in one final, challenging quest.
The DLC currently has an Overwhelmingly Positive user review score on Steam, in addition to high reviews from critics such as IGN and Metacritic.
