Blizzard confirms WoW: Wrath of the Lich King Classic release date

Blizzard has confirmed that the classic version of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion for World of Warcraft is releasing on 26 September this year.

Wrath of the Lich King is one of the most popular of the numerous World of Warcraft expansions and concludes the story of Arthas Menethil.

The original expansion was released for WoW in 2008 to great acclaim, and following the release of World of Warcraft Classic and its success, this re-release should come as no surprise.

Blizzard has promised that the remake will be enjoyable for veterans and newcomers.

The expansions, Wrath Classic, will also improve a range of quality of life improvements for players that can be seen in full here.
