After seven months of being down, the servers for Dark Souls 3 on PC have at last been brought back online.
The servers were taken down in January this year after long-standing security issues were brought to the attention of FromSoftware ahead of the release of Elden Ring.
More than 200 days later, the servers are now back online, with the announcement being made on Twitter.
Online features for the PC version of Dark Souls III have been reactivated.
We are working to restore these features for all other #DarkSouls titles and will inform you when they are back in service.

This news will be a great relief for many long-standing fans of the series.
While Elden Ring undoubtedly boasts the largest player-base many still regard Dark Souls 3 to have the better PVP of the two games.
It remains to be seen whether or not the security issues that led to the takedown have been resolved.
In either case, the community will no doubt be happy to play again.
