Assassin’s Creed Infinity details revealed

28 February 2024

New details on Assassin’s Creed Infinity have been revealed – confirming the platform’s live service elements and design.

These details were provided to Insider Gaming in the form of demo footage and provide a look into what Infinity will offer players.

Based on the footage, Infinity will use a live service model that lets players jump immediately back into the AC game they were last playing without needing to boot each game up separately.

Below, we have outlined the other main features that have been revealed about Assassin’s Creed Infinity.

The Exchange

The Exchange will be an item shop that sells daily and weekly in-game cosmetics for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Red title.

These cosmetics will be for Red’s two protagonists, Naoe and Yasuke.

Synchronisation

The Synchronisation feature lets players access Projects for each protagonist.

Projects are essentially small battle passes that are each based on a story, and let players earn cosmetic rewards as they progress through the narrative.

New Projects will be constantly added throughout Infinity, and will particularly focus on DLC launches and new game releases.

Future games

Assassin’s Creed Infinity will be released at the same time as Assassin’s Creed Red – which is expected to drop later this year. It will then become the platform that hosts all future releases.

This includes Invictus, a multiplayer title coming in 2025, and Hexe, the next mainline entry that is rumoured to be the darkest AC game yet.

These titles are all expected to come with new cosmetics and Projects released on The Exchange and Synchronisation respectively.
