Starcraft Universe gets first official gameplay trailer

A while ago, Starcraft 2 mod creator Ryan Winzen made headlines after he was forced to discontinue his project, World of Starcraft, and his videos were pulled from Youtube for copyright violation. This move came from Activision as a result of the name of the mod, which they felt infringed on their own mega-IP, World of Warcraft.

Many were outraged at the time, as Blizzard’s own EULA for Starcraft 2 states that anything created for it using the map editor would in fact be owned by them.  

Not long after the incident however, the project was confirmed to be back on track under a different name, Starcraft Universe. This mod looks to be incredible, and will really showcase what the Starcraft Map Editor is actually capable of. 

The game has now received its first official game trailer, and it looks incredible. The trailer features footage of an actual “raid”, and should have even the staunchest World of Warcraft haters drooling all over themselves. Check it out:
