If you didn’t get a red-hot ticket to the Diablo III beta, here’s your consolation prize – a link to the new “Items” page on the official Diablo III site.
Instead of bashing skeletons and pulling their pants off, you can look at those pants right here, and wish you were bashing skeletons and pulling their pants off.
Yes, it’s a crap consolation prize, but it’s YOUR consolation prize and you’re going to love it, damn it.
The page lists a whole bunch of the game’s starter items, including all sorts of armour, weapons, potions, jewellery, crafting recipes, and whatnot.
“It’s in your best interest to bedeck yourself in quality pieces of equipment,” says the accompanying text. “Belts, rings, sandals and similar accoutrements aren’t just for looking good – these items are often enchanted to make you swifter or safer. Some can even enhance your skills.”
Blizzard also recently launched a Diablo III online game guide, featuring character classes and skill sets, as well as a Skill Calculator so players can plot their upgrades ahead of time.
Now if only they’d release the actual game.
