EA makes up for BF3 beta problems with A FREE GAME FOR EVERYBODY*

14 October 2011

The Battlefield 3 beta is over, but the scars remain.

Especially for those who, for one reason or another, were denied their early access or had difficulty downloading it.

I know I still wake up in a cold sweat, troubled by nightmarish phantasms of an empty e-mail inbox.

Anyway, EA’s kissing those wounds better with a free game voucher for people suffering post-traumatic stress disorders.

PC gamers, anyway – consoletards like me are apparently not good enough or too cool. I’m going with “too cool”.

In an e-mail to users, EA said:

Hi there,

Last week, we understand you had an experience with the Origin service that may have left you disappointed.

We are deeply sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you, and would like to offer you something to make amends.

Here’s your code to redeem a free game off the Origin store.

The voucher’s good for anything except preorders, and must be redeemed before 31 December.
