The Trine 2 collector’s edition has been announced. The game is sequel to the indie hit, Trine, which was published and developed by Frozenbyte, and has seen nearly 1 million copies sold.
Trine 2 brings more of the high-fantasy, side-scrolling action-adventure, physics-based puzzle-solving hijinkery of its progenitor, but with added online multiplayer co-op spice (up to 3 players).
The title will be launching for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC as a digital download.

The PC Collector’s Edition of Trine 2 for Windows and Mac OS include: the full game; its majestic soundtrack (by composer Ari Pulkkinen of Angry Birds and Outland Fame); a snazzy artbook featuring comments by the Frozenbyte developers, and also the first Trine game.
With the game yet to launched and reviewed by MyGaming, I’m willing to risk saying that this sounds like a good package considering the South African Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of R149.95.
We spoke to local distributor Apex Interactive who said that they expect to have Trine 2 Collector’s edition into retail stores by January 2012.

Frozenbyte has also launched their promotional website for Trine 2 where you can check out many shiny Trine 2 things such as screenshots and gameplay videos.
