Divine Divinity now available on Steam

6 July 2012

Just in time for the latest drama about Diablo III, Larian Studios has re-released its brilliant – and arguably much better – isometric action-RPG Divine Divinity on Steam, so you have real options again.

I was talking about this game just the other day, actually. I absolutely loved Divine Divinity, and when the sequel came out, I obviously had to have it. As a permanently broke student at the time, though, I had to persuade my mom to buy it for me instead. She agreed, but only on the condition that I throw a tantrum in the middle of the food court at Canal Walk shopping mall in Cape Town. So I did, and I had bruises on my knees for a week afterward. Totally worth it.

Fortunately, you kids have it much easier these days – it’s just $6 on Steam (about R50), so even permanently broke students should be able to afford it.

To commemorate the game’s launch on Steam, Larian Studios has put together an rather, uh, unique announcement video that… actually, just watch it. No knees were harmed during filming, but entire lives were devastated.
