Blizzard Entertainment has announced a new game, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, during the company’s panel at the Penny Arcade Expo 2013.

Blizzard has said that a new team is behind the development of the game, which is said to feature a faster pace and experimental gameplay elements.

The game will be a free-to-play strategy title, as Blizzard “wanted to do something a little different” with their next endeavour.

The panel is currently ongoing, and we will update details as they come in.

Update: Blizzard has revealed that Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft will be a digital collectable card game set in the Warcraft universe.

The game will arrive on PC, Mac and iPad within 2013. Beta sign ups are now available.
