Minecraft sells 10M, horses incoming?

6 April 2013

Mojang’s block-building phenomenon, Minecraft, has accumulated over 10 million units in sales for PC.

Mojang even have a website dedicated to the continuous sales of the game; and, at the time of writing, is sitting on 10,004,525.

The game’s impressive milestone was tweeted by Mojang lead designer and developer, Jens Bergensten, who also gave a little hint to what may be coming.

“Minecraft (PC) has hit 10M! As promised, a subtle hint on the main 1.6 feature (thanks @ebbakier): http://imgur.com/qAuCLex,” Bergensten tweeted.

The picture shows a woman and a horse, possibly alluding to the addition of horses in the next update.

Minecraft originally released on PC on 18 November 2011, so racking-up over 10 million in sales in a year and a half is a pretty impressive feat.
