Now that the servers have stabilised, EA has announced that SimCity will now have a “Cheetah Speed” setting.

The Cheetah Speed setting allows player to speed up time, therefore not having to wait around for money to come in.

The news came through the SimCity Facebook page, which also revealed that another update is in the works.

“Yes, it’s true — we’ve recently brought back Cheetah Speed. We’re also working on Update 2.0, so stay tuned for more info.”

SimCity saw a rather disastrous launch, as the game’s servers kept a lot of gamers out or struggling to connect during the release period, while bugs and problems with the game continued to emerge.

A feature that players are hoping that update 2.0 will bring is an increase in the building boundaries of cities.

Still not buying it. I’m holding off until there’s a GOTY edition or something (GOTY, lol).
