Mortal Kombat coming to Steam?

16 April 2013

Rumours of Neatherealm’s rather excellent Mortal Kombat reboot coming to PC have been swirling around since its console launch, and some new info could lead to believe that it’s about to happen.

Mortal Kombat was recently assigned a Steam App ID and achievements list, and now it appears that the “app” is being tested out.

ValveTestApp230800 – aka Mortal Kombat – saw a huge spike in activity, which one can assume indicates that players are testing out the brutal fighting game on the PC platform.

This could also be a whole bunch of nothing, but all signs point to the fact that Neatherealm are looking to launch the game on Steam soon.

The Mortal Kombat reboot released on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2011 and was considered one of the best games in the series, bringing the classic 2D-plane fighting style and modern elements together for a fusion of spine-snapping action.
