Day Z standalone video shows new features

Many PC gamers are eagerly waiting for the standalone edition of DayZ, and Bohemia Interactive’s Matt Lightfoot gave a walkthrough from the E3 floor of the upcoming retail version of the popular zombie survival game.

Lightfoot shows off the new crafting system that has been implemented in the game, along with the new animations, character models, and weaponry.

Zombies can now also knock players to the ground, while building interiors are also far more detailed.

There is also a new loot spawn system that can generate loot in some interesting nooks and crannies, and requires players to really look and traverse around to gather the resources they need.

There ara new locations in the game, particularly an island that featured in ARMA 2, which was highly requested by the community.

It was also previously revealed that the Day Z standalone will be getting weekly content updates, including clothing and weapon items.
