Ventus taking local gaming by storm

Having just formed a few months ago, local multi-gaming-organisation (MGO) Ventus is already proving to be a force to be reckoned with. 

Ventus dominated its own Quake Live competition over the weekend, and has also taken the first leg of the Telkom DoGaming Heroes of Newerth league. 

Quake Live Sprint Cup

This past weekend saw Ventus host their first Quake Live Sprint Cup. 16 of SA’s best Quake Live players turned up for the event, which took place over a series of best-of-one knock out rounds. 

Ventus’ own Szarko started off strong, beating _nOble_ 31 – 1 in the first round. From there, he did not look back, beating lickwidice 12-4 in his next map. Competition got tougher in round three, with Szarko beating swaLp 2-0, and then V|Draven 3-0 in the final.

The final standings at the end of the comp were as follows:

Ventus will be hosting another Quake Live competition in two weeks time.

Telkom DoGaming HoN league

Previously Kai, Ventus’ HoN team have just wrapped up the DoGaming league, finishing undefeated. 

In their final week, they played Pantheon (pG) and Dream Team (DT), who they beat convincingly.
