Trine PC receives 3D Vision update

5 July 2010

To celebrate the 1st anniversary of the PC version of the hit physics based action-puzzle-platform game Trine, developer Frozenbyte has released patch 1.08 via Steam. The patch brings support for Nvidia’s 3D Visons technology, meaning that those with all the right kit can now play the game with some added depth. There is currently no date set for the stand alone patch release.

Trine features gorgeous 3D environments despite its side-scrolling nature and making use of 3D Vision to play the game will undoubtedly prove to be an immersive visual treat. Among the other fixes and improvements delivered in patch 1.08 is an improved antialiasing method, tweaks to the final level, and minor item description text error corrections.

“Trine looks awesome with 3D Vision. If you’ve got the hardware to run it, I really recommend you give Trine a go. All the detail and depth we put in the game really shows. The patch also improves antialiasing and makes the whole experience look even more beautiful,” said Lauri Hyvarinen, CEO of Frozenbyte.
