Dota 2 prize pool reaches R100 million

27 June 2014

Thanks to Compendium sales, the prize pool for this year’s Dota 2 The International has passed the R100 million mark.

The tournament, which takes place at the Key Arena in Seattle from 18 – 21 July 2014, will have the biggest prize pool in its history, which the winning team will receive roughly half of.

With the $10m mark being broken comes the fulfilment of the Victory Prediction Taunt stretch goal, which allows gamers to perform a voice taunt in game.
