Atari has announced it will be releasing the latest version of RollerCoaster Tycoon – titled RollerCoaster Tycoon World – for the PC in “early 2015”.

This follows the release of RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 for mobile platforms, which left many die-hard fans of the series rather unhappy.

Accompanying the announcement is a short teaser trailer, which is posted below. Good news for the fans of the franchise is that the PC game will be micro-transaction free.

Besides the normal roller coaster building, gamers will be able to share and download blueprints of parks made by other players. Four-player cooperative mode will also be supported, along with access to other players’ parks.

“Many of the new features in RollerCoaster Tycoon World were not possible a few years ago,” Atari boss Fred Chesnais said. “But we have taken advantage of technological improvements to offer a wildly fun gaming experience that stays true to the storied franchise. This is the game fans have been asking for.”
