Can your PC play Far Cry 4?

Ubisoft has released the minimum and recommended PC requirements for its upcoming FPS title Far Cry 4.

Those of you intent on waging a war against a mad man and his army, here is what hardware you will need to make the highly-textured blood spatter smoothly.

Minimum PC requirements

  • OS  – Windows 7 SP1/Windows 8 (64 bit versions only)
  • CPU – Intel i5-750 2.6GHz or AMD Phenom II 995 3.2GHz
  • RAM – 4GB
  • GPU – Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD5850 (1GB VRAM)
  • DirectX – V 11
  • Hard drive space – 30GB
  • Sound card – DirectX 9.0c

Optimal PC requirements

  • OS – Windows 7 SP1/Windows 8 (64 bit versions only)
  • CPU – Intel i5-2400S 2.5GHz or AMD FX-8350 4GHz
  • RAM – 8GB
  • GPU – Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 or AMD R9 290X (2GB VRAM)
  • DirectX – V 11
  • Hard drive space – 30GB
  • Sound card – DirectX 9.0c

Oh, and apparently the game “runs best” on Nvidia – as shown in the video below.
