Most popular games on Steam

1 March 2015

If you didn’t read our article on Steam’s massive user base earlier this week, then let me give you a quick summary – it is huge.

The online gaming platform from Valve has 125 million active accounts – which is more than the population of places like Mexico, Egypt, Germany, and France.

Taking this into account, it would be fair to say that a popular game on Steam is a popular game among the PC gaming community in general. Unless you are rocking a 486 and using emulators to play Pokemon Red.

So, without further ado, here are the top 25 most popular games on Steam right now – courtesy of Steam’s stats page.

I had CS: GO on my steam library for ages without ever really playing it. I was a big fan of the first cs and cs 1.3 and 1.6, then sort of just drifted away from the series.

For reasons I can’t actually remember, I started playing CS: GO about 6 months back, and have logged just under 300 hours since then and haven’t really played another game.
