PolarfluKe October StarCraft II competition details

South African StarCraft II community website PolarfluKe is preparing for their October tournament after a successful outing in September’s Heaven’s Devils tourney.

PolarfluKe has struck a new partnership with South African custom T-shirt printing gurus, Random Label Clothing. In the spirit of growing the South African StarCraft II community, Random Label will be donating a portion of their sales proceeds back to PolarfluKe, helping to keep the website and competitions running.

The competition will follow the standard format developed by PolarfluKe over the last few months.

When and Where:

Group Stages: Official start time of 15:00 (3pm) Saturday 9 October 2010.

16(32)-player Bracket: The Single Elimination matches will start at 15:00 (3pm) Sunday 10 October.

The tournament will be run via the European Battle.net server. Thus please ensure you are in possession of an EU version of StarCraft II.

Throughout the tourney both fluKe and Alcardu will be available to assist. Contact details here.

Tournament structure:

24+ Entries: 4 groups, 6+ players each, best of 3 matches. The top 4 from each group proceed to the 16-player bracket, Single Elimination, best of 3.

32+ Entries: 8 groups, 4+ players each, best of 3. Top 2 from each group proceed to the 16-player bracket, Single Elimination, best of 3.

48+ Entries: 16 groups, 3+ players each, best of 3. Top 2 from each group proceed to the 32-player bracket, Single Elimination, best of 3.

In the event of each group having 6 players, all further registrations will be on standby.

Seedings will be taken from previous PolarfluKe tournaments where needed.

The group lists will be made available on Saturday 9 October between 2pm and 3 pm.
