Steam’s Summer Sale 2015 is here

12 June 2015
Steam Summer Sale 2015

You’ve probably already noticed, but for those who haven’t, Steam is hosting its annual Summer Sale – it’s practically a second Christmas for PC gamers.

Like with all major Steam sales, a vast majority of Steam’s catalogue, almost its entire library in fact, will be on sale, and discounted fairly heavily as a result.

Each day of the sale, which ends on June 21st, will play host to a new set of Daily Deals, Flash Sales and community driven Special Deals.

Daily Deals will likely last 48 hours a piece, so expect to see two sets of Daily Deals from tonight.

Flash Sales refresh at twice the pace, with new Flash Sales occurring every 12 hours, and they don’t stick around afterwards.

Finally, there’s the community driven Special Deals.

How this Summer Sale’s event works is the community is given the opportunity to take part in a little game of sorts.

Band together with your friends as a team and unlock new power ups, upgrades and better discounts as a result. You’ll even earn yourself a few Steam Cards to boot.

It’s all explained below:

Just as a precautionary tale, we’d advise you don’t purchase anything that isn’t a part of a Flash Sale, Daily Deal or Special Community Deal.

If it isn’t, it may very well see a larger discount and won’t you feel a fool for purchasing something when you could have gotten it cheaper.

If you really want a game and it isn’t a part of one of those specials, then purchase it on the last day of the sale June 21st.
