Second Medal of Honor PC beta in October

27 September 2010

EA has announced that its upcoming military themed FPS, Medal of Honor, will be getting a second beta on PC, starting October 4 and ending October 7. The beta will feature two maps; Kunar Base and Shahikot Mountains, both of which are “inspired by real-world locations.” There will be two gameplay modes;  “Sector Control” and “Combat Mission.”

The publisher is hoping to show with the beta that the massive controversy surrounding the announced use of the Taliban in the game was a “misunderstanding.”

“We also hope that by offering the Multiplayer Open Beta, we can clear up any misunderstanding about the patriotism and respect that are the foundation of this game. The Medal of Honor franchise has always shown extraordinary reverence for American and Allied soldiers – this game is no exception.”

Medal of Honor is due out on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 12.

To announce the new beta, EA released a new gameplay video:
