Do you love total conversion mods for Elder Scrolls games? What about Nehrim: At Fate’s Edge, a total conversion mod for Oblivion?
Well, SureAI, the same team behind this mod is back with Skyrim Enderal, or Enderal: The Shards of Order, a total conversion mod for Skyrim.
SureAI are a truly professional German hobbyist group who can be likened to a full-on game studio, even having their own offices in Munich, Germany.
Their previous mod, Nehrim, won the coveted Best Singleplayer Mod in MoDB’s of the Mod of the Year Awards 2010, which shows that this modding group knows what they’re doing.
When interviewed by PCGamer, SureAI’s Nico Lietzau had this to say in regards to Skyrim Enderal:
Enderal is almost as big as Skyrim. There are a lot of areas to explore. In terms of exteriors, there are different climate zones: a desert, a forest, heathlands, mountains, all with different vegetation and climates, there’s a lot going on. And of course there are many, many dungeons.
Not only that, but Skyrim Enderal much like Nehrim is an overhaul of Skyrim bringing with it a new story, themes, political plot-lines and appears visually distinct from the vanilla Skyrim experience.
The world of Skyrim Enderal is its own separate universe, with a unique mythos and lore which really changes up the way you play this from normal Skyrim.
If you were wondering what the game actually looks and plays like, fret no more. SureAI with the help of YouTuber Frank Sirius showed off some alpha footage of the mod, which can be watched below:
The alpha footage gives us a look at how the world of Skyrim Enderal exists and what direction SureAI is taking it.
The detailed character models, unique dialogue and a variety of different environments in a Gothic setting really sets this apart from other total conversion mods.
Currently, the release date for the mod hasn’t been confirmed, but it is supposed to happen this year. Hopefully it will happen this year.
But for the moment, we can’t wait to see more goodness from this awesome mod. We’re keeping Skyrim Enderal on our wish list.
