StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void - Opening Cinematic - Launch Date

When it comes to cinematics, Blizzard have yet to disappoint.

From the days of Warcraft, and right through to their most recent title, Overwatch, with it is Pixar-esque and really rather superbly directed cinematic trailer, their cinematics are almost as good as their games – that’s saying something.

And the opening cinematic for the final chapter for StarCraft II, Legacy of the Void, is no different.

Demonstrating what Zealots, High Templars and even an Archon can do in gloriously rendered detail, it’s a must-see for any fan of StarCraft.

Cinematics like this do so much for the lore of StarCraft, providing a perspective you otherwise don’t get from an RTS viewpoint.

More than that, it just has us excited for the conclusion of the campaign. Because if you thought the multiplayer was the only worthwhile segment of StarCraft II, then think again.

Best of all, we won’t have to wait all that long as Blizzard has announced that the launch date for StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void is November 10th, giving them plenty of time to use beta to rigorously test multiplayer.

Throw in new, exciting modes like Archon Mode, and we can’t wait.

StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void is already available for pre-order. See you then.
