Blizzard planning “Grand Master” league

As of now, Blizzard has five StarCraft II leagues, from bottom to top; Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. This is about to change, according to an interview which PlayXP recently conducted with StarCraft II lead balance designer David “dayvie” Kim.

A new Grandmaster league is being created to accommodate the top 2% of the world’s best StarCraft II players. The Grand Master League is essentially the much discussed “Pro League.”

MyGaming has a number of highly ranked Diamond league players in out StarCraft 2 community, with Bakchiadai being the best of the lot. Bakchiadai is ranked 5th in division Heirarch Echo, and is ranked 1,879 on the European servers.
