PolarfluKe November 2010 StarCraft II tournament details

South African StarCraft II community website PolarfluKe is preparing for their November tournament. The community has recently organized an official tournament license from Blizzard Entertainment.

MyGaming will be sponsoring a R1000 cash prize for the tournament, to be split among the top two players. R700 will go to first place, and R300 will go to second place.

The competition will follow the standard format developed by PolarfluKe over the last few months.

When and Where:

Group Stages: Official start time of 15:00 (3pm) Saturday 6 November 2010. The Single Elimination matches will start at 15:00 (3pm) Sunday 7 November 2010.

The tournament will be run via the European Battle.net server. Thus please ensure you are in possession of an EU version of StarCraft II.

Tournament structure:

24+ Entries: 4 groups, 6+ players each, best of 3 matches. The top 4 from each group proceed to the 16-player bracket, Single Elimination, best of 3.

32+ Entries: 8 groups, 4+ players each, best of 3. Top 2 from each group proceed to the 16-player bracket, Single Elimination, best of 3.

48+ Entries: 16 groups, 3+ players each, best of 3. Top 2 from each group proceed to the 32-player bracket, Single Elimination, best of 3.

In the event of each group having 6 players, all further registrations will be on standby. Seedings will be taken from previous PolarfluKe tournaments where needed. The group lists will be made available on Saturday 9 October between 2pm and 3 pm.

Registration:
