Windows 7 and 8.1 now support the Xbox One Wireless Controller

We can understand the need for Windows 10 to support a whole new graphics API like DirectX 12, but to use an Xbox One wireless controller as well?

It makes sense that Microsoft needs to incentivise purchasing or opting in for your free installation of Windows 10, but we can’t imagine Xbox One wireless controller support convincing anyone to migrate – after all, Windows 7 and 8.1 supported the controller through the use of the power cable.

Microsoft is clearly aware that wireless controller support, via the wireless adapter, is doing nothing but annoy gamers, so they’re introducing it to Windows 7 and 8.1.

It’s really that simple.

You can pick up the Wireless Adapter for R370 at Raru.
