Treyarch reveals incoming Black Ops patch

16 November 2010

We were pleased to report late last week that Treyarch released a patch for the PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops that fixed the majority of the game’s widely publicised bugs and glitches. Unfortunately, despite the improvements, the PC version of Black Ops is still not quite where it should be, and many gamers are still reporting problems.

The last patch improved frame rates by optimizing quad and dual core CPU performance, and lag was greatly reduced by tweaking default server configurations.

Treyarch has confirmed that there is a new patch in the works, and it aims to deal with the following issues:

– GPU hitching on certain graphics cards.

– Incomplete server browser results.

– Improvements to Quickmatch joins (results with better ping and reduced lag).

– Zombies “The game session is no longer available” error.

Treyarch has not indicated when the patch will be released.
