The Witcher 2 delayed

17 November 2010

CD Projekt has finally given us a release date for the The Witcher 2: Assassin’s of Kings; May 17,2011. The game was previously planned for release in March, so that’s a two month delay. Cryface engage.

“We’ve decided to move the launch date back a few weeks to afford us more time to polish the game,” said project lead Adam Badowski. “Of course, we know that players would like to get the game as soon as possible, so we hope that they will forgive us! We strongly believe that the extra time spent polishing the title will be well worth the wait.”

So far only a PC version has been confirmed, and more information is expected to be revealed this Thursday, November 18.

We do know that the developer has created a new engine for the project, and early videos and screen shots are simply breath taking.
