Play PS4 games on your PC with Remote Play

Sony has released System Software Update 3.5 for the PlayStation 4, which brings multiple new features to the gaming console.

The new features include: instantly joining online multiplayer games with friends; receiving Friend Online notifications; and the ability to appear offline while playing.

User-scheduled events have also been added, along with Remote Play for PC and Mac.

This lets users play PS4 games on their PC or Mac. OS requirements are:

  • Windows 8.1 / 10 or later
  • OS X 10.10 / 10.11

The new Remote Play feature lets gamers choose the following resolutions and frame rate options:

  • Resolution options: 360p, 540p, 720p
  • Frame rate : Standard (30fps), High (60fps)
