Brazilian website Superinteressante is hosting a fully-functional browser-based game called Science Kombat.
Inspired by the old Mortal Kombat games, the 2D fighting game allows players to play as one of eight famous scientists, including Marie Curie, Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Charles Darwin, Nikola Tesla, Pitagoras, Alan Turing, and Stephen Hawking.
The game is playable using simple keyboard controls and runs on the Unity engine.
The highlight of Science Kombat is the special abilities of the different characters, such as Marie Curie’s radiation ball and Isaac Newton’s apple drop.
Keeping true to the scientific nature of the game, the final boss is religion itself. Named “The Divinity”, the game’s final enemy can transform into various religious figures as it fights.
