DOOM is Free to Play this weekend on Steam

If you’ve been itching to get your hands on Bethesda’s DOOM remake, now is your chance.

The game is available to play for free this weekend, courtesy of Steam and the DOOM Open Beta.

Steam users will be able to participate in the DOOM Open Beta from 15 – 17 April 2016, after which the Open Beta will end.

The Beta features two maps, Heatwave and Infernal, which will play host to two game modes each – Team Deathmatch and Warpath.

The DOOM free weekend will showcase never-before-seen weapons, armor sets, taunts and hack modules.

If you can’t get around to playing DOOM this weekend, you can always take a look at our impressions of the Closed Beta.

Fire up your downloads, it’s going to be an action-packed weekend.

DOOM is set to release on 13 May 2016.

    Okay so I tried the game and there’s only 1 thing I can say, I need a new PC gaming rig. My i7 1st Gen with Nvidia GTX 560ti was nailed by this game. I couldn’t play it at all. Even the game menu was lagging on my pc. I’m sad now…
